El Casal Català de Vancouver is a non-profit association (legally a non-profit) whose primary reason for its existence is the promotion and dissemination of the culture of the Catalan Countries in British Columbia, Canada. This is why the Casal is open to everyone who loves and appreciates our culture. This goal is the result of the desire on the part of the Catalan community resident in this country that has welcomed us, to maintain our roots.
El Casal offers welcome information to British Columbia, it is the link with the Government of the Generalitat for Catalans resident in BC, we offer Catalan classes for children and a play area in Catalan for the little ones, we spread Catalan culture in Vancouver, we celebrate traditions and organize meetings so that you can meet more Catalans and have fun.
We always happy to introduce Canadians to the catalan culture and Catalonia. Either for travelling or scholarship, you can contact us for ressources including a library, connecting with catalan speakers or learn how much fun is to immerse yourself in this old mediterranean country: Catalunya.
The Casal català de Vancouver is part of the group of Catalan communities abroad officially recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya. We are incorporated in British Columbia as a non-profit. We do not have charity status due to mandatory controls that would put too much pressure in our volunteers, which is why we cannot issue charitable tax receipts. It goes without saying that any donations will be greatly appreciated though!

Meeting point of the Catalan culture in the British Columbia
The Catalan House – Casal Català- of Vancouver is a non-profit organization that promotes the diffusion of the culture of the Catalan Countries in British Columbia, Canada. The Casal is open to all who love and appreciate our heritage and culture.
Although the main content of this this site is in Catalan language, we`ll be adding content in English as much as possible. Our goal is not only act as a meeting poing for Catalans here but also a resource for Canadians who have some interest in our culture and region.
