Celebrate with us the Castanyada next November 2!

The Castanyada is the Catalan version of Halloween as is also celebrated the evening of October 31. The name came from the main food of the day: Castanyes -chesnuts- a tradicional offering to the dead even before Romand times. In the Christian calendar the following day, November 1st, is the feast of All Saints, keeping with the theme of honoring the dead.
