In-Person Catalan lessons for children (2 to 7 years old)
Children’s classes are designed for the youngest to delve into the Catalan language through games, stories, songs and creative activities.
Classes are held twice a month, on Sundays, with the following times:
- Group 1 (ages 2-4): from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m
- Group 2 (ages 5-7): from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
All activities take place at the Maison de la Francophonie in Vancouver, a central space, with underground parking available for easy access.
Class dates (6 sessions)
- April: Sundays 12 and 26
- May: Sundays 24 and 31
- June: Sundays 7 and 21
Online Catalan classes for ages 7 and up
The online classes are designed for children who can already read (even in another language), ideally for children between 7 and 12 years old.
The online classes are held via Google Meets and students must be able to use their computer’s microphone.
When? Fridays from 5:45pm to 6:45pm
Class dates (6 sessions):
- April: 10 and 17
- May: 8, 22 and 29
- June: 12
Registrations
Places are limited and drop-in registrations are not accepted. You can register your children by sending an email to the Casal indicating:
- Name and age of the student
- Name of the legal guardian
- If you are a member of the Casal
In-person places are limited and Casal members have priority. Last day for registration is Tuesday, March 31.
Discount for Casal members
Members of the Casal Català de Vancouver have a scholarship of 80% of the cost of classes.
