📅 Sunday, November 8
🕒 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
📍 Kitsilano Community Centre
On Sunday, November 8, we’ll come together to celebrate La Castanyada, and we’re excited to share some of the activities we have planned for this special afternoon!
🌰 Chestnuts & Tradition
We’ll enjoy La Castanyada together and keep this beloved Catalan tradition alive. If you happen to find some chestnuts, bring them along!
🎨 Face Painting
Our youngest guests will be able to let their imaginations run wild and transform into their favourite characters.
📖 The Story of La Castanyera
The little ones will gather to listen to and discover the story of La Castanyera, in a special activity just for them.
🎃 Costume Contest
Come dressed up and take part in our costume contest! There will be a prize for the best costume, as well as surprises for the other participants.
☕ Coffee & Treats
The Casal will provide coffee and sweet treats to enjoy throughout the afternoon. And if you feel like bringing something to share with the community, it will be very welcome!
✨ And There’s More…
There’s another activity currently in the works that we’re not ready to reveal just yet. 👀
For now… it’s time to start thinking about your costume!
We look forward to celebrating La Castanyada together! 🌰🍂
